Queuing a Render Job
Overview
Before you render a scene or directory using GlowWorm, you'll have to
queue a job. There are two ways to do this, either "Add Job" or "Add
File".
Add File
Click this button to browse for a PZ3 or PZZ file that will be
rendered. Then the Render Job Options window will appear.
Add Folder
Click this button to select a directory. Every PZ3 and PZZ file in that
directory will be rendered. Then the Render Job Options window will
appear.
Render Job Options
This window will display the different settings that are applied to a
scene when it's rendered.
Render from:
This shows the source file or directory
for the render job.
Save renders to:
Click this button to change the
directory to which the resulting images
will be saved. By default, a new folder called "Renders" will be
created in the same folder as the source.
Render engine:
Click this button to change which
engine will be used to render the
image (FireFly, Poser 4, Sketch, or Preview). By default, the scene's
settings will be used.
Output format:
The file format that the resulting
images will be saved in. Choose from
TIF, BMP, PNG, PCT and JPG.
Output size:
Click this button to set the resolution
that the image will be saved at
(ie, 720x540 or 800x600). By default, the scene's settings are used.
Output frames:
Click this button to change how many
and which frames are rendered. By
default, the document's movie settings are used. On most documents, this means frames 1-30.
You can force a specific frame range (ie, 4-15) to be rendered, or you
can have only the frame that the document opens on (current frame)
rendered.
Render passes:
You can have multiple passes rendered
per document per frame. See
Render Pass Basics for more info on render passes.
By default, a render is done using the document settings. If you define
any render passes, those will be the only images rendered.
Render passes are done using FireFly. If you have another render engine
selected to be used or haven't specified one, then you will see a
warning informing you that FireFly will be used to render each pass.
You can turn the warning off using the settings window.
Add
Define a new render pass and add it to the job.
Remove
Remove a render pass from the job. If there are no passes left, a
normal render will be done.
Remove All
Clear all render passes from the job, and just use a normal render.
